J. Catherine Taylor found their home at the Lexington Pride Center in 2018 through an Eastern Kentucky University internship. Following their internship, Cat joined the Lexington Pride Center’s happy family! Cat serves as our Center’s Development Manager inspiring lasting community partnerships, cultivating donor engagement and creating financial sustainability programs.
Cat has a professional background in nonprofit development with hundreds of hours of training in grant writing, donor engagement, donor retention and fundraiser strategizing. Cat studied at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky majoring in Sociology. With a passion for social justice and equity for all, Cat is a dedicated and fierce advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community. Cat’s mission is to help create a world in which all LGBTQIA+ people are able to not only survive but thrive.
