Lexington Pride Center Welcomes Dawson Fee To The Board Of Directors
The Lexington Pride Center is thrilled to welcome a new board member, Dawson Fee! Dawson joined the board of June of 2026. Prior to joining the board, Dawson spent two years on the Lexington Pride Festival committee, leading merchandise and supporting social media, graphic design, and logistics. Dawson was elected Pride Festival Committee Chair in July 2026 and will lead the planning for the next Pride Festival. We’re excited for the energy, insight, and leadership he will bring to the table and we can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together. You can read Dawson’s full bio below!

BIO:
Dawson Fee is a community health advocate for the University of Kentucky’s Bluegrass Care Clinic – LINK Project. He has a passion for improving access to healthcare, strengthening community relations, and supporting underserved populations. He works to provide health education, access to medical care and social support services, help overcome barriers to care, and improve overall health.
Dawson has worked with UK Healthcare for 7 years, spent time in the Emergency Department and Operating Room, and has now been with the LINK Project (formerly KIRP) for nearly 4 years. As a community health advocate, he focuses primarily on HIV, Hepatitis C, and other STIs, and helps individuals access the medical and support services they want and need.
Beyond his professional work, Dawson has been involved with the Lexington Pride Center since the beginning of 2025. He volunteered extensively with the Lexington Pride Festival in 2025 and 2026 and became more involved and invested in the Lexington Pride Center. Dawson has also volunteered with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the Wilderness Trail, advocating for children in the family court system. He also currently serves as the Secretary for Building H.E.R., a non-profit focused on empowering girls and young women from underrepresented communities through mentorship.
Dawson is currently pursuing his Master of Social Work at the University of Kentucky. His education in social work continues to build upon his experience and passion for working directly with individuals facing healthcare and social disparities. He has a particular interest in the intersection of healthcare and social work, as well as working with individuals involved in the justice system to overcome barriers and adapt.
Throughout professional and community involvement, Dawson has remained passionate about helping others and believes that change can happen through a combination of direct service, advocacy, education, and strong community relationships. He continues to contribute to Lexington and the surrounding communities through community service and volunteerism.
